Hi family.  Glad you got to see my cute face on Face Book again. Sister Poz is always hookin you up with my photos haha.  She lovez me. Glad you like my cute lil Euro suit haha. Thanks for buying that for me.  Yes, it was super nice not to have to travel 5 hours to go to Zone meeting. Only 20 minutes this time!  Paris really is the Promised Land.  It was a super good zone conference too.It was nice to see everyone in our zone and help give them a little boost. Hopefully your first week of school went by well.  Sounds like you got yourself some good students.  Have a good day off today. I’m sure you will sleep in till noon like back in the good ole days. That was the life . That’s crazy that the family is spread out into three different continents.  Hopefully dad is tearing it up in China. I hear he’s got a lot to do. I’ll be praying for him. And yeah I guess you could say Vegas and Paris have a lot in common. Lots of dirty things go on. Mostly at night though... so I couldn’t really tell ya everything. I’m always in the house before all the wickedness starts. Good to hear that BYU already lost haha. I never really was a fan of BYU football.  They always let peeps down.  The basketball team is way better. College bball is where it’s at.
So lots of crazy stuff happened this last week.  First off... I will be attending a meeting with our homeboy Mitt Romney in about 9 days I believe. He is coming to speak to the Young Single Adults here in Paris... so we, with some of our investigators will be attending!  Pretty pumped about that. I wonder if he’s a spiritual giant?  On verra. I will let you know!  Very few people are being invited so hopefully I will get to speak with him. That would be a real treat!  And just yesterday our mission hit its goal of One Hundred Baptisms!!!!  A goal that we have been working on for 3 months!  Easily the biggest miracle this mission has ever seen.  So normally in one month we average about 20 or so baptisms... but this August we baptized 52 people!  It’s been crazy to see how fast the Lords work is progressing here in France. It’s so fun to be apart of it. Everyday is the best. And for our goal of 100 baptisms... we still have two weeks left!  We are going to obliterate this goal. This next weekend we should be adding two more people!  Our two investigators have decided to get baptized!! It has been a huge answer to prayer. This transfer we have contacted hundreds, maybe even thousands of people... and the very first one of those many contacts was P! He has only known the church for like 4 weeks now.  He has progressed so fast. The ward really loves him as well. Its so fun to see people discover the gospel!!!  And C is way legit as well. He has been around for about a year. His only problem was coming to church.  But now he has been coming. This next Sunday is going to be legit. Here in Paris just two weeks ago there were 4 baptisms... and this week we are planning on 4 or 5 more!  So CRAZZZZY.  People are so ready for the gospel in France. Church is so true.
Not sure what else to say. This last week was one of the best of my mission statistically wise. We taught 18 lessons and found like 5 new amis.  Some crazy good numbers for the mish. Not that numbers matter though. It’s all about baptisms! So I’ll share a quick story. We found a new guy named A from some little tiny island. He was interested and wanted to speak with us. We shared the restoration one lesson and then asked him to pray. Next lesson he told us that he felt something the night before when he prayed!   answers prayers. I already knew that but it was cool to help this little man know it as well. And he also came to church on Sunday!  The guy has got a bright future.  Well I hope ya’ll have a good week.  Thanks for being awesome. Que Dieu vous bénisse!

Adamz

E-mail 8-26-13 & Pictures

Hi mother.  I did get the package. Thanks so much! That is so crazy that school is starting today. Is Ryan taking your class again this year?   Kid is a stud. I’m surprised that Garrett is waiting that long. I thought they would be married way quicker then that haha.  Hope that goes well for them.  Mariah sent me a nice little email. Love her already. She’s legit. That stinks Garrett has college starting up again too. So glad I don’t have to do that whole school thing. Like serving a mission is way easier lol just kidding!

So on the realz... this week was super hard!  So many things going on and not a whole lot of success. The whole entire week all of our investigators were fruging us. They were to busy. And all of our finding efforts were not to successful.  It was a very humbling first six days. But then Sunday came! After the storm comes the sunshine ya all!  After lots of prayer and lots of pleading for help the Lord came to our side. He was showering them liberal blessings upon us. So we have two baptismal dates at this moment and they both came to church. And they loved it!  They both really felt the spirit. That was one BIG blessing.  Another neat one... so out of nowhere at the end of Sacrament Meeting I went around shaking hands and saying hi to everyone and in the very back of the chapel I noticed a woman that seemed familiar. I wasn’t sure where she was from but I knew I knew her. And she knew she knew me but she wasn’t sure how. haha awkward.  So turns out after a little reflecting.... when I was a greeny in Charleroi I taught her!  Then she moved to the south of France!  I remember I was sad when she had to leave. And while she was down there... she got baptized!!!   So legit. She really helped to make my crappy week a little bit better haha.  Love when that happens!  And I’m not sure if I told you this either... while I was in Charleroi we had zero baptisms.  BUT... 4 people that we found and taught when I was there have recently been baptized!   So cool to see good things happening down there. The Lord works in magical ways.
So about Sunday again. So another companionship here in Paris had a baptism and we took one of our amis.  He loved it!  He is pretty excited for his baptism now. Hopefully next week when I talk to you I will have a photo of his baptism. Or maybe in two weeks. We will just have to see. And another miracle about Sunday. So all week we were not able to find any new amis.  BUT after working for hours and hours Sunday night the Lord blessed us with 2 new ones! They are super legit as well. Both Muslim but they have a lot of hope. We will have to see how they progress.  So in short... this week I learned the importance of patience.  If we endure patiently... if we work our tail off... if we pray extra hard...  and if we have a good time doing it... the Lord will always be there to shower them liberal blessings upon us!  Hrd work and faith always pay off.  Alwayssss!
So to answer some of your questions. We take trains and metros every single day. They take us everywhere... wherever we need to go for 110 Euros a month. Not a bad price. We do pretty much our own cooking.  Lots of the members live far away so its a little difficult to eat with them.  And we have to eat out a  lot because we are always so far from the house teaching lessons and have no time to go back... sorry for spending so much money.  So hard when you live in the most expensive place in the world. I’ll keep working on that. The people are super legit. They are always super busy but we love them anyways. The stores are really legit. Very expensive but that’s okay... I’m a rich missionary lol. Hope you like the pics. Sorry that took so long. Have a good week! Love yall!  Stay awesome!

Hi! Sorry I can’t send any photos this week, I totally forgot my camera this morning. Forgive me? Like I didn’t mean it. I will try my heart-est next week. I have taken some pretty neat photos so I will work on sending some to you. Thanks for sending me a package! Can’t wait to get it. You always got something clever in them liberal boxz. So pumped that my bro is getting hitched!  What a stud. I want to know the whole story and whatnot. I’m sure it was real neat. Send me some photos of it. I’m sure its all over facebook #BreakingNewz.  Kid always was smooth with the ladies. Tell that fool to send me an email. Haven’t heard from his lazy butt in years. Like seriously... I think its been a year haha. The kid has time to drive across the country 2 times but he can’t write a 5 minute email?   Even if he’s too busy planning for a wedding that’s not excuse haha.  That’s crazy that school starts in one week!  I bet you’re super excited haha.  Are there even any cool students left in that liberal school these days?  I’m pretty sure Ryan is like the only one eh? Oh and let me know if you want anything from Paris?  I could easily send you some stuff.  You’re always sending me stuff so let me know. You know I gotcha!
So this week was pretty awesome. A man that we found my first day here in Paris is all ready wanting to be baptized!  We set a date for him the first day of September!  He is such a boss. He is from Cameroon, Africa.  He came to church yesterday and he loved it.  He didn’t want to leave. It amazes me each and everyday how many people are out there ready to join the true church of God. It’s pretty crazy that there are like 80 thousand missionaries serving the Lord right now... but that’s not even close to enough. Pretty sure all 80 thousand of those missionaries could be here in Paris and we still wouldn’t have enough haha. The Lord prepares people... lots of times it takes years to do it..... but then again he can prepare them lightening fast as well!  Just like our new homie.  He has only known the church for two weeks and he is solid. That’s what happens when people hear the truth... and then they feel it!  I am so glad to have the truth and to be able to share it with others. And above that I am so grateful to be able to FEEL the truth and help others FEEL it!  The Holy Ghost is real!  Anyone who wants to know a simple truth can know it!  They just need to pray, work hard, and listen with their heart.
Church is so true!  Missions change lives. Everyday I thank my Father in Heaven for the opportunity he has given me to leave the good ole US of A ... so that I can be here saving lives in France! This really is the promised land. God calls missionaries and he calls where he needs them. He tells me each and everyday why he sent me here. I know God answers prayers and he answers them in his own time. Sometimes he doesn’t always give us a direct answer though. That’s a GOOD THING!  When he doesn’t that means he trusts us!  He trusts that we will make the right decision. He knows that we are capable of doing big things on our  And above all he loves us so much that he sent us all cute little families. I have the best family ever!  Thanks for that. Leaving the family behind is never easy but it’s a whole lot easier when you are able to help other families find the gospel and help them have the same blessings your family has. Thanks for everything.  LOVE YOU!  Have a good week. BISOUS!  Sorry this letter is pretty boring. I’ll do better next week!
own. But in reality we are never completely alone. He trusts us so much that he sends us soft whisperings instead of huge visions and signs!

HI family! I can't believe school is about to start already. Time flies. Take advantage of your last couple weeks. That’s super legit that Angie got married. I bet that was a good time. I’m sure there were a ton of people as well. Two locals = beaucoup des gens quoi. Pretty crazy that Jacob Evans is already going on his mission. I’m sure he will be a boss
I can’t believe I’m in PARIS! So many crazy things happen here everyday. I couldn’t even begin to explain all of the things that have happened these first four days here. But ill try.So my new comp is Elder Glover. He is super legit. He is from Utah. Big into sports and all that so we have plenty of things in common. And yes we are the zone leaders here. There are 4 zones here in PARIS.... our zone is the North. And no the mission home is not very close. It’s on the other side of Paris. It’s actually in Versailles.... a suburb outside of Paris I guess you would say. And yes I got my package from Whitney. Tell her thanks! And what’s happened to Tristin? I emailed her a couple of times and heard nothing back. Did she really forget me already?  Tell that rich jerk to hook a brother up with a package haha and sends some pictures of Raegan and Greyson. It’s been too long.
So our area covers downtown PARIS. Which means that often we get to work in the Visitor Center for the church here in Paris.  So while we were working there was an American who ran inside and said he needed the bathroom. (There are always Americans that come into see the center... all Utahans). So he used it. While he was in there his wife came in and sat down without saying a word. She just kinda chilled. While she was just sitting there I kinda stared at her because I knew I had seen her somewhere. So I started a little convo but got nowhere. I figured my mind was playing tricks on me. So then the Man came out of the bathroom and I instantly recognized him as well but i wasn’t sure where from. So without saying much of anything the two headed for the door to leave. But just before letting them go I stopped them and said Ii knew them from somewhere. I said "Ii wrote about you in my journal I think..."  hahaha they both just laughed and said "hmm that’s weird."  Then finally it hit me!  It was Elder Allen. He spoke twice while Ii was at the MTC. He is the man the highest up in the missionary department for the church. He works with the prophet all the time. Sooo funny! So turns out that he has seen a ton of missionaries on his little trip here in France and I’m the first one to have recognized him.  #WINNER.   He was pretty impressed. I think he is doing like an undercover mission visit thing. Pretty weird haha.
So this week we had mission council again.  Always a good time.  The new Theme for this transfer is "following the spirit." Pretty important for missionary work I guess haha. We will be dispersing this message tomorrow to our zone. Should be a good time. We have got a lot of preparing to do though. Oh and during my first four days here we were able to fix 2 baptismal dates!  Pretty pumped. And the Lord blessed us with the opportunity to find many new amis. So crazy to see how many miracles the Lord has blessed me with during my mission. Oh and I think I already told you but we set the goal as a mission to baptize 100 people before Elder Oaks comes in September. We are at 75 or so!  We are so close!  Can’t wait to hit our goal. Missions are the best. So glad to be serving the Lord. There is no where else I would rather be.  The Church is true and it just keeps getting more true!  Don’t you ever forget it. Have a good week. I’ll be thinking of you while I’m climbing the Eiffel Tower! LuvZ!
