Hello. So, no I did not get any glasses. I tried to get in but the rendez vous they fixed with me was like three months later then I wanted haha.  So I might just have to wait. We will have to see. Sounds like y’all are having a good time in Utah. That’s good that the snow showed up. I’m sure that will be good for the drought.  So what are my travel plans? I have not even received them yet haha. I fly in to San Francisco? Then to Reno? And don’t you worry, I am not trunky! Never would I ever. Those are the worst missionaries ever. You’re right though, that will be weird to come home to all these new little family member (2 new nephews)s. They are gonna be scared of their FAT Uncle Miles. I just keep getting fatter too haha. Maybe one day I’ll decide to do a diet. We will have to see. We run often but the days we run I just eat twice as much so it really does nothing haha. Such is life. That photo with Garrett, Max Hall, and Denis Pitta is pretty dang legit. Kid is a boss. He could work on his hair but tha’ts okay. Utah will do that to ya.   In any case, respect to his balling skills. And no I have not touched a basketball since I was in Strasbourg.  Pretty much I only played like twice my whole mission. Lame but I’m over it.

Pretty crazy that next week is already general conference. Should be a good time. Hope to have some amis there. And yes we will be able to watch it. They will broadcast it at our church. Hopefully we will be able to watch it in English as well. We will see. Watching conference in French just isn’t the same but it’s a sacrifice we might just have to make.

This week was pretty legit. So we got let in twice while porting!  Pretty epic. The first man was a family man!  He’s got four kids. He was supposed to come to the church yesterday but couldn’t make it.   Bummer but that’s okay. We have only known him for like 5 days. He has still got plenty of time!  In his house he had some turtles and a huge lizard thing. It was pretty cool. A little weird but cool. All of his kids live in Paris because that’s where they go to school while he works here but on the weekends they come down here, same thing with his wife. We will be seeing him soon hopefully. And then the day after we got let in some crazzzy JW  lady. It was pretty funny. She opened the door half naked  (a shirt that was not on but she was just holding it over her shoulder and yelled, "The MORMOS!!!! Come on in. We must talk."  Well everyone knows the rule that you’re not supposed to teach single women but we were not sure if there were other people in the house so we entered haha.  Turns out she was alone so we told her we only had like 5 minutes.  Those were some pretty dang interesting 5 minutes haha.  One cool thing was that he daughter is best friends with Tony Parker. There were photos of them all over the house.  Pretty legit. And the lady was a famous singer. She had like newspaper articles of herself all over the house. She had a photo with a bunch of rappers from America haha. Not sure is she’s the best candidate for the gospel but we will give it a try!
Not sure if I have told you about the family from Guadeloupe but they are so legit!  It’s a single mother with two boys and a little girl. They have fed us like 5 times and we have only known them for like 2 weeks.  Pretty epic. And the 17 year old son is a friggin stud. She also has an 18 year old son but is completely hooked on drugs.  Sad. But it’s actually because of him that we were able to meet the family. We tried to help him get off drugs but he had ZERO desire. But we respect him because if we had never met him we would have never met his awesome family!  We are right on the middle of the restoration. They are super into their own church so it’s going to be a longer process with them but we got the faith!

Not sure if told you about zone conference last week but it went well. President Poznanski made some pretty good jokes about me during his formation in front of like 100 hundred peepz.  Not really sure how to translate it but he told everyone that no one in the mission eats as much as Elder Adams. He got me good haha caught me off guard.  My face went completely red.  And then right after lunch he did not have time to eat his pudding so he looked over the crowd of missionaries and walked up to me and said,  "Adams, you could surely eat another."  haha.  Guy is a boss. Probably not that funny for y’all. It was one of those "you had to be there things."

Well that’s about all I got for this week.  Have a good week.  Love you! Have a good conference weekend!  Bisous.

Couple of things to tell you before I forget.  Please fix a foot docteur appointment with Mooney like the week I get back or the week after.  I’ve got foot problems for sure.  Nothing to worry about but that would be nice to have a little checkup right when I get home you know?   You agree?  Kay cool. And I would ask another little favor.  Okay it’s kinda big.  Would you please print every email that I have sent you during my entire mission and make a book out of it or something?  PLEASE. Does that make sense? I’m sure you can come up with something creative.  I saw that you’ve been slacking on the blog, so please update that too.

This last week was killer. Another double digit lesson week.  Things are seriously about to explode here! And we fixed a baptismal date with Henri. So fun to be apart of that.   It’s a pretty small ward but they are helping us more and more.  We are all on the same team.   Things are about to explode. I have really been putting a lot of thought into what we can do, we will be doing many many more family home evenings at members houses with our amis.  And we will be preparing for the 2Oth of April!  On Easter Sunday we are going to have an explosion of investigators at church.  We are going to present a plan this week at ward council to see how can help members invite all of their amis to hear a message on the Resurrection of Christ and invite us to their house to present it. Then we will invite all of these people to church. And then obviously hundreds of baptisms will follow. Pretty neat plan right. That is just a little blue print. I can’t wait to present it to the ward council.  PUMPED!!!
This last week was awesome.  Zone conference was good as always. President is a genius,  and Souer Poz as well.  They are seriously the most legit people Ii have ever met.  Not sure how they do what they do but they sure do it.

I had an awesome exchange this week with Elder Cramer.   He is a boss. We had 3 hours to do contacting one afternoon before he headed home and in this three hours... we taught three lessons! One with a Frenchy,  one with a mother of three,  and one with a man from Mali.  All three taking place on benches that just so luckily (destiny) happened to be placed right where we contacted the people. It was seriously one of the coolest afternoons I’ve had all my mission. Pretty  soon we will just have to baptize all three of them.  We will have to see.

I don’t believe I  filled out a missionary deferment form for BYU-I mother.  But maybe Ii did who knows. And yes my son(Elder Davis) gave a killer lesson at zone conference haha.  Kid is a boss. He knows his stuff.  Paris is about 45 minutes from where we are at.  Its a quick little train ride. I think that answered just about all of your questions.

Have a good week!   Thanks for your prayers!   Don’t forget to start making that book mother!!!!   Love u for that, and everything else you do.   Stay awesome!

Family,
No time!  This last week was amazing!  We are being wayyyyyy blessed. We have been able to find so many new amis.  In a one and a half week period we have been able to give three church tours!  Pretty crazy.  And one of those was with a family.  These are all people we met in the road and while porting.  We have been let in porting to 2 already. Pretty nuts.

Yesterday I gave a 25 minute talk in church. I did a pretty good job. Not gonna lie to myself haha.  I was the main speaker and they asked me to speak on obedience.  I had some good stories in there.  I talked about my bike accident at Smith Creek when I was bombing the hill and decided to pull the left brake.  I was asked not to pull the left brake but I did it anyway so I paid the consequences. I based my talk off of that. And I gave a list of 10 blessings that come when we are obedient according to the scriptures and Elder Adamz.  It was pretty epic as well.  Life is good.

This week we have a zone conference. Should be a good time. It will be pretty epic getting taught by my zone leader Elder Davis (my first bleu). Pretty excited for that.

So you got the books already? That was quick! I will probably be doing that again a couple of times before I leave.

Glad to hear that the reception went well. I’m sure everything was lookin real nice in the house. I know how you and dad are. Y’all know how to throw a party.  Maybe one day you will have to throw one for me.  Who knows.  So what am I going to do for college?. BYU ruined my life haha. I’m just kidding.  All will work out. Life goes on!

Have fun at HOSA!  Give me some info on the Golf team as well.  Is there anybody that is good at golf anymore?  Or was I the last one?  haha just kidding.  Thanks!

Many baptisms are coming up before I leave the mission field. I can’t even wait.  We have so many golden investigators right now. This week we should be getting some baptismal dates. Pray for some dates to be fixed!  LOVE YOU.  BYE!

Hello mother! Life is good.  Things to tell you before I forget. I sent you two packages the other day from Caen.  They are two boxes full of books that I sent because I had no room in my bags. And it should take like a month. They have this thing in France where you can send books to America for really cheap!  The two boxes Ii sent should have cost around one hundred dollars but instead it cost only 30!   Pretty good deal.  That was the reason I spent so much money last week.  And I also had to buy my "bleu" (greeny) our father- son ties.  He picked some pretty expensive ones haha.  I had no choice. They cost like thirty all together.  So yeah that’s why all of your money disappeared.  And we had to eat while we were in Paris because we had to wait three hours for our train.  So now you know why I wiped out the account haha.  Only for good reasons!  Love me still?   Wanna hook me up with some more?  I’ll pay you back one day. You know I’m good for it.

So my new area is super legit. Very small but that’s okay. We are finally to the point where we don’t get lost to easily.  We usually are able to find our way home.  My companions name is Elder Lattin.  he is from Washington DC.   He is the youngest of a family of 9 children haha. He spoke French for 5 years before the mission. So he speaks pretty well already. It’s impressive. He gets super nervous but that’s okay.  I was worse I think when I was a bleu. We have lots in common.  He likes sports and we are both the youngest in the family so we got plenty to talk about. We are not the only elders in town.  There are two other missionaries. The other team in a training team as well. Elder Nicholson from Scotland is training Elder Palfreyman from California.  It’s fun to have to bleus in the house at the same time. Every time anyone has a question they all come running to me haha. Guess that’s normal because I have been here for a good amount of time. And Elder Nicholson is only in his 5th transfer so everyone is still super young except for me haha.  Feels super weird.  Not sure I like it.  I have had a couple of dreams about returning home already. It’s horrible!!!  I hate thinking about it haha. They are friggin night mares. And yes we all live in the same apartment. It’s pretty old but its big and after a good cleaning its lookin pretty good. We are on the 5th floor so we have a good view.

So I’m not sure if you remember but I also trained Elder Davis earlier in my mission and he is now my Zone leader!  He is so legit. It’s fun to be around him again and see how much he has grown. Kid is a boss. And it’s crazy to think that he is already super old in the mission. Feels like just yesterday I was training him.

So yes I just watched the video for the first time haha. I look like such a noob! I hate cameras! I think that is pretty easy to tell haha. Elder Glover is a stud with that kind of thing. So no I was not there for the baptism of Francois. I came in just after the baptism. I was able to teach him many of the lessons after his baptism. Pretty sure I have been to his house like 15 times. He is seriously amazing. He is a boss. During the whole video while he is talking I am just right behind the camera helping to balance it and I translated for the camera guy.  What did I say again at the end of the video?  haha.  Whatever I said I sounded pretty dang shaky haha. I was seriously sweating.  And they friggin recorded us for like 2 hours and I said like nothing because I wasn’t the one who taught and baptized him. You can tell I was pretty tired when they show me sitting next to Elder Glover saying nothing haha.  Good times.

Good luck getting ready for the wedding!  I’m sure you’re getting sick of those things by now. That’s what you get for making the downstairs so nice and open.  C'est la vie.  I’ll be sure to get married and have no reception.  That will make things easier eh.  I heard about Jimmer being traded from some other missionaries. SO LEGIT!  The Bulls are often shown around here in France because of Noah, guy that is French. So yeah I’ll keep an eye out.  I LOVE JIMMER.

This last week was pretty awesome!  We started  off pretty well for having no people to teach at all just 5 days ago. We have already found 2 people to teach and like 10 potential.  The Lord has been blessing us!  I have learned the importance of perseverance this week.  Our first night we contacted people in the road for like 5 hours and saw no success.  But then at 8:58, just 2 minutes before going home we found this super awesome guy!  We taught him in the road and since we have taught him 3 times.  He came to the church on Saturday and we gave him a tour.  He is legit!!!  So with that said.... work till the end!  Never give up.  It was good to see a miracle like that... it really gives me the extra push to finish my mission strong.  When we persevere... we see miracles!

And this week I also have got to fill out some papers concerning my release date and plane times and all that.  So keep a look out in the next couple of weeks for that.  Have a good week. LOVE YOU!
